Andrew (Andy) served as CEO of LexisNexis and on the Board of Directors of Reed Elsevier, a $45B market cap information company, from 2000 until 2011.
LexisNexis grew from $1.7 billion in 2000 to over $4 billion in 2010 under Andy’s leadership. LexisNexis employed approximately 17,000 people in 2 business units – LexisNexis Legal, and LexisNexis Risk Solutions. LexisNexis Risk Solutions ($1.5+B) provides data and analytics to help risk professionals assess and decide on underwriting loans and mortgages, insurance coverage for homes and autos, and supports KYC and AML and Sanctions and other similar compliance functions which depend on personal data analytics.
Prior to joining Reed Elsevier, Andy served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of West Group, part of the Thomson Reuters Corporation from 1997 to 2000. In that capacity, Andy had responsibility for Thomson Reuters Legal’s electronic information. Revenues at the time exceeded $3 billion.
Today he works actively with many PE firms to invest in personal authentication, personal identification, KYC, AML, Sanctions and credit scoring related businesses. He serves on the boards of Scribestar, Transunion, Neoway, fiizy, Payfone, Nanopay/Mintchip, Parker Companies, and Synaptive. He serves on the Strategic Advisory Board of Kharon, and invests in young start-ups such as Veriff and Xolo (formerly LeapIn) from EU.
